Traditional Coffee Ceremony in Ethiopia

  1. I haven’t figured out how to write below each picture so I will do a short description here.
Mulu is 17 and is a sponsor student with Imagine 1 Day. We are in her one roomed house, which has all been supplied by her sponsors, and preparing the coffee on her little coal stove. There was so much smoke inside that there was one point where we were all coughing so much and laughing at the same time that I had tears in my eyes. Unfortunately this coffee did not get along with my stomach which I think was due to Mulu not boiling the water long enough. A great experience all the same!
